Apple Mail Forwarding Setup

How to forward newsletter emails from Apple Mail or iCloud to Marketer Digest.

Forward Newsletters from Apple Mail

Apple Mail doesn't have built-in server-side forwarding rules. There are two approaches depending on your setup.

If your newsletters arrive at an iCloud email address, you can set up rules on iCloud.com that run server-side.

Step 1: Create a mail rule on iCloud

  1. Go to iCloud Mail and sign in.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon (bottom left of the sidebar).
  3. Select Rules.
  4. Click Add a Rule.

Step 2: Configure the rule

  1. If a message: Select is from and enter the newsletter sender's email address.
  2. Then: Select Forward to and enter your Marketer Digest intake address (e.g., your-name@in.marketerdigest.com).
  3. Click Done.

Repeat for each newsletter sender you want to forward.

iCloud rules run on Apple's servers, so they work even when your Mac is off or Apple Mail is closed.

Option B: Apple Mail Rules (macOS)

If your newsletters arrive at a non-iCloud address, you can use Apple Mail's local rules.

Step 1: Create a rule in Apple Mail

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Go to Mail > Settings (or Preferences) > Rules.
  3. Click Add Rule.

Step 2: Configure the rule

  1. Description: Enter "Forward newsletters to Marketer Digest".
  2. If any of the following conditions are met: Set From contains the newsletter sender's email.
  3. Perform the following actions: Select Forward Message and enter your intake address.
  4. Click OK.

Apple Mail rules only run when the Mail app is open on your Mac. For reliable forwarding, use iCloud rules (Option A) when possible.
