Email Forwarding Guides
Gmail Forwarding Setup
How to forward newsletter emails from Gmail to Marketer Digest.
Forward Newsletters from Gmail
Follow these steps to automatically forward newsletter emails from Gmail to your Marketer Digest intake address.
Step 1: Add your intake address as a forwarding address
- Open Gmail Settings (Settings > See all settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP).
- In the Forwarding section, click Add a forwarding address.
- Enter your Marketer Digest intake address (e.g.,
your-name@in.marketerdigest.com). - Click Next, then Proceed in the confirmation dialog.
- Gmail will send a confirmation email to your intake address. Check your Marketer Digest newsletters page for the confirmation code, or check the email content.
- Enter the confirmation code in Gmail and click Verify.
Do not enable "Forward a copy of incoming mail" for all emails. We'll use a filter to forward only newsletters.
Step 2: Create a filter for newsletter emails
- In Gmail, click the search options icon (filter icon) in the search bar.
- In the From field, enter the sender email addresses of newsletters you want to forward. You can use multiple addresses separated by
OR(e.g.,newsletter@example.com OR digest@another.com). - Click Create filter.
- Check Forward it to and select your Marketer Digest intake address.
- Optionally check Also apply filter to matching conversations to forward past emails too.
- Click Create filter.
Tip: You can also filter by label. If you already have a "Newsletters" label in Gmail, filter
by label:newsletters to forward all labeled emails.
Alternative: Forward individual newsletters
If you prefer more control, you can create a separate filter for each newsletter:
- Open a newsletter email in Gmail.
- Click the three-dot menu (More) > Filter messages like these.
- Verify the sender is correct, then click Create filter.
- Check Forward it to and select your intake address.
- Click Create filter.
Repeat for each newsletter you want in your digest.
